Your wedding is one of the most important and joyous events of your life, and as such the greatest care must be taken with every detail. Your wedding stationery is a key part of not only the big day itself, but of the lead up and post-event. Below are a list of just some of the types of stationery you could consider.

Save the Dates - A save the date is a quick and convenient way of making sure your guests are available by informing them months in advance of the event. They can be printed and posted or sent electronically.

Invites - Even if you just have one piece of stationery, it has to be the invite. Therefore, the design and look of your invite is of primary importance. They can be as simple or detailed (including maps and other information) as you like.

Envelope Addressing - Why send a beautiful invite in a boring envelope. A hand-lettered envelope is so memorable and thrilling to receive in the post. Custom return addressed stamps and wax seals can also be created for the ultimate luxury experience!

Menus - Hand-written or part hand-written, there is nothing like sitting down at the dining table and reading a beautiful menu. They also make a great keepsake for your guests!

Thank You cards - Make sure your guests know how much you appreciated them helping you to celebrate your big day by thanking them with a beautiful card.

Vows/Love Letters - Imagine having your vows written down in a beautiful calligraphic hand... to frame and keep forever!

Small Stationery items - Additional stationery items can come in the form of placecards, drinks tags, favour labelling, guest book ex-libris etc.

Signage items - For the ultimate in cohesiveness and to really brand your wedding, these can include table plans, directional signs, photo booth signs etc.

You may well have some more ideas of what you would like and we would love to discuss them with you!

how far in advance should I contact you?

We realise that planning your wedding can be stressful, so please make sure that we are given plenty of time to plan, design and deliver your stationery. We want to ensure that everything is perfect for your special day and calligraphy is a slow process which cannot be rushed. As a general rule, please contact us at least 6 months before your event so that we can book in a 2-3 week block to carry out the work. You will need to allow a further 2-3 weeks for printing and delivery. Very occasionally we may be able to carry out work at short notice, but this will incur rush fees. Please contact us for further details.

how do I provide you with my guestlist?

For all stationery wording please provide a Word document. Addresses for envelopes can be provided in Word or Excel. It is advisable that you check and double-check all your wording for spelling mistakes, correct spelling of names and places, accuracy of dates etc, as we will copy your document verbatim. We will take the greatest of care to copy your information accurately, but provision of correct details are ultimately the client's responsibility. If we notice obvious grammatical and spelling errors, we can provide an editing service for a small extra cost.

If you would like to source your own envelopes please ensure that they are a wove finish. You will need to provide around 20% extra for mistakes.

do you provide samples?

Yes of course! I am happy to provide up to 5 hand-written samples for a charge of £10 inc. postage (UK). This will be deducted from your final fee if you decide to proceed.

What are your payment and delivery terms?

A 50% deposit is required to book your job into the diary. The remaining balance must be paid before delivery of files or stationery. For printed stationery, we will deliver final artwork to you or directly to your chosen printer in your/their preferred format. If you need help sourcing printers and manufacturers, please let us know.

Payment is accepted via PayPal, direct bank transfer or by cheque (please allow 5 days for cheques to clear).
